Winter

Cinder, Scarlet, and Cress are rebels. Winter is slowly going mad from not using her bioelectric powers. Her stepmother, Queen Levana,  is the queen of Luna (the moon) and is threatening to take control of the earth after that. Cinder, Scarlet, Cress, and Winter are the only ones standing in her way.

Cress

Cress is a shell- a Lunar born with no bioelectrical manipulation, or, in simpler words, no Lunar ability to change her appearance and  manipulate others' minds and bodies. She has been allowed to survive because she is an excellent hacker and programmer. She lives on a satellite going around the Earth and moon. When she is given a task by the Moon's Queen Levana to find the sixteen year old rebel Linh Cinder, her accomplice Carswell Thorne, and their friend Scarlet Benoit, she hides them instead. When she receives a comm from them, she finally gets hope of getting out.

Violence but no swearing or mature themes.

Awkward Poems

Prompted poems can be difficult,
Even if they don't come across as an insult.
It may appear that you were raised in barbarism.
So you should practice writing without plagiarism.
Many times you may need to consult an adult.
I need a sentence with catapult.

What If and Escaping Peril

Two for one! Normally I would just do one blog, but Escaping Peril is so awesome it deserves 10000 blogs, and everyone knows I read it 2 weeks ago.

What If is an amazing, funny book that demonstrates what would happen when someone with extreme scientific knowledge becomes an Internet cartoonist and answers silly hypothetical questions submitted to him. Questions include:

  • How much Force power does Yoda have?
  • What would happen if you made a Periodic Table of the Elements out of cube bricks of each element?
  • What would happen if a pitcher threw a baseball at 90% the speed of light?

Escaping Peril is book eight of the Wings of Fire series. Peril has lived her whole life killing other dragons. It didn't bother her until she met Clay. Then her whole life went upside down. She was banished from her home, the person she served went missing, and she is expected to be careful of injuring other dragons with her deadly firescales, instead of them watching out for her. Then she meets Turtle on a mission to impress Clay, get redeemed in the eyes of everyone, and have her banishment revoked. The annoying SeaWing is the only one to like her besides Clay (and Sunny, though she finds the SandWing to annoying to consider a friend), and is determined to follow her on the mission. Peril learns to wonder what makes her herself, and what makes a dragon a hero.
